Dat lijkt mij angst voor niets.
De hydrauliekdruk in een Citroen is naar hydraulische maatstaven klein, ruim onder de 100 bar.
Een stalen knelkoppeling kan dat gemakkelijk aan. In hedendaagse hydraulische aandrijvingen (bijvoorbeeld in graafmachines) zijn de drukken een stuk hoger, pakweg het dubbele, die dingen zitten vol met knelkoppelingen.
Wel van belang is het schoonhouden. Dus aan de zijde van de hydractiefklep losmaken voor het snijden, na het afbramen goed doorblazen om te zorgen dat eventuele staalsplinters er uit zijn.
Achterstallig onderhoud brengt elke Citroen op de sloop

Jan, de druk in een Citroën wordt afgeregeld op een bovendruk van 175 bar en een onderdruk van 145. In de veerleidingen staat evenwel een lagere druk omdat er via de hoogteregelaar druk wordt afgevoerd.

Overigens ben ik, net als Jan SR, van mening dat knelkoppelingen (mits juist gebruikt) prima geschikt zijn. Als het in een vliegtuig mag zal het op de weg ook wel ok zijn….

Het is het overwegen waard, maar dan moet er ook nog syeeds een nieuwe leiding komen.
Of meteen maar dat flexibele deel dan ook maar laten ompersen bij de hydroliekwinkel?

Wat is eigenlijk de reden dat deze leidingen voorzien zijn van een flexibel deel?
De diameter?

Ik denk dat dat is omdat de bovenkant van een veerpoot niet gefixeerd is t.o.v. de rest van de auto. Je ziet dat heel duidelijk als je met de klep open, met de voorwielen van de grond aan het stuur gaat draaien. Je ziet dan de bovenkant duidelijk bewegen.

Onlangs had ik rechtsachter een leiding lek. Ik vertelde de ANWB-er wat er aan de hand was en dat afslepen eigenlijk de enige optie was. Daarop haalde hij een zakje knelkoppelingen uit zijn wagen waarmee hij al menig bollenrijdende citrofiel heeft geholpen. (de held!!!)
Helaas was mijn leiding te rot, maar deze man had er goede ervaring mee!
