wat is het gewenste niveau van het voorraadvat? Moet dat in de normale rijstand in het midden van de twee strepen op het voorraadvat zijn?

Nope, dat is te laag. In de hoogste stand met draaiende motor moet het niveau tussen de strepen staan.

bedankt, ga ik dat even bijvullen. Had er al drie liter bijgegooid, maar viel mij toen op dat de drukregelaar begon te tikken. Niveau was nu in hoogste stand draaiend onder onderste streepje, dus nog niet genoeg.
Straks eerst ontluchtingsschroef beetje lossen, vervolgens remmen ontluchten?

De drukregelaar hoort te tikken, het tikken mag alleen niet te frequent zijn.
Voordat je de remmen ontlucht, eerst de overtollige lucht uit je systeem laten verdwijnen. Auto is de laagste stand, ontluchtschroef op je regelaar een half slagje open, na een half minuutje weer dicht en dat een aantal maal herhalen totdat er met een dichte ontluchtschroef een flinke straal LHM retour komt in het vat. Daarna de remmen ontluchten.

alles is ontlucht en het tikken is ook over. Net een stukkie gereden en hij remt als vanouds. Tevens lijkt de boel weer lekvrij. Bedankt voor het advies.

weer heel wat kilometers gemaakt en hij rijdt als een zonnetje.
Alleen viel laatst de motor uit toen ik echt enorm in de ankers moest met een gangetje van zo’n 120 km per uur. Een auto dreigde de kruising over te steken terwijl ik op een voorangsweg reed.
Ik heb dit al een keer eerder gehad op de snelweg, maar vraag me af of dit normaal is.

Ik meen me een discussie te herinneren over de positie van de verdamper (wel of niet dwars op de rijrichting) waarbij met hard remmen het membraan zodanig in beweging kwam dat de motor in de problemen kwam, vandaar.

daar weet ik van, maar aangezien ik 23ie halfautomaat heb, kan de verdamper er in mijn ogen niet anders in dan in de rijrichting. Dus dat moet goed zijn. Blijft raar…
