Firstly, 2 of your members (mark and Rianna passed by my house and stopped for a coffee here in France and very welcome they were too, as is anyone who wishes to do the same.
I am having a DS Day/weekend on the 17th-19th Aug if anyone is interested please see my website http://www.mygoddess.co.uk/id16.htm for more information. The idea is to fill my large garden and the field with DSs.

Secondly: What have you done about your headlights. I still have the “yellow” bulbs but they are getting very difficult to find now and I wondered what you had done to improve them. thank you.
I do hope you dont mind me posting in english I find your site very good and helpful (using translator of course) Surprisedops:

Thanks Garagestmarien I have see a couple around on the sites and you can get the 40/45w still from the shops but I just wondered what else can be done to improve the shocking light power.
Did you enjoy LeMans this year I went last year and had tickets this year but had to do some work on the “madeline case” so could nt go

you know, i haven’t got a clue about ds headlights. do they have the H4 or duplos? maybe, in case of H4, you can use these ultra light bulbs and provide them with after market add on yellow caps. normally you can find these caps on shows. otherwise you could think about these ds fog lights and use them when you think you have to drive in the dark. indeed useful in these parts of france, i must agree.

Hi Greeney, Thanks for the offer. It is a pity in more then one respect that I don’t go to France this year. About the light: You can upgrade your headlights to those for the newer type. In that case You won’t use the 40/45W Bilux bulb but the yellow H4 halogens, they will give you light enough for those nice dark country roads.

If you have the old bulb with R2 socket, you can replace it with a H4 with R2 socket, made by Philips and Osram, Bilux Haloroad (osram). Gives more light but only available in white. you can get them in 40/45 and 55/60, there is a stronger one from 100w but that will damage your reflector I’m afraid
