For those who has the interest.

The car is finished assembly. It went throug inspection today, and the licenseplates is bought.! On site 14, there is some great pictures off the car as it looks now. It is from last week.

I hope to get new pictures later this week of the final result. The weather is terrible right now.!

I will come to the ICCCR in Rome this year and in Germany also. Next year, i hope to have the time to EuroCitro at Le mans, and 2cv meeting in Czech Republic (In a Burton).

In 2010. Yes, we will be some cars that will take the trip tp France. The yellow will be there..

About the rims. Ill try to explain.
A sandblasting, grinding of the spots were the blank is. First a raw grinding and later a “watergrinding”. After that a polish with a product called “autosol”.
Det grey area is grinded before 3 layers of paint. First the ground paint. Then the colour and last the clear layer.!

Haha, nice to put in the agenda, though normally I don’t plan things so long in advance. It would be nice to be there as well with my “Äpple grönt GS”

Yes I understand fully, thanks! My rims are corroded and later, badly, painted with that ugly silver metallic rim paint Confused The paint loosens over time because of the corrosion.

I want to go to France in 2010. It will be great to see all or at least many GS/A together in their “homeland”! But that’s still 2 years from now… So here’s an idea, if I don’t go to France you can make a detour through Holland to France to show your GSA Laughing We can organise a mini 40th aniversary meeting in Holland! Just kidding

My other car is a broomstick.

Great idea with a GS/A meeting in Holland. Don’t you have one allready.?

What about a Dutch GS/A club.? Do you have one.? Maybe i should join it.!

If you want to see the car soon, then is it possible in about 10 days in Germany. Their meeting will be joined with 4 Danish cars, including the yellow Entreprise.!

I havent planned 2 years in advance, but something has been going wrong if i dont go to france in 2010.!  Laughing

@Xander:

Holland has the “GS-GSA society”. It’s a small but active club that owns a Club parts shop and organises events that are frequented by a small but active group of members. So yes indeed, there is a club.

Next interesting event will be a meeting with the Dutch BX Club. Since I favour both models and clubs I will absolutely attend that meeting (27 september).

I did not intend to write it in Danish. I have know idea where to “produce”  the æ and the ø otherwise then reusing them from your reply. Wink As Opron noticed, my swedish is “less worse”.


Maybe it would be interesting to have a small GS pre-meeting in Holland. Better to plan this kind of things far in advance.

@Opron: maybe you could make a drive train of all your GSes by using multiple “triangels”. I am afraid you need the XM 2.5 TD to pull the combination.

Try to finalize this picture with your XM having a bike carrier on the roof holding the Solex and the last GS with a “twinnyload” (bike rack on the tailer hook) with the BFG on it. Maybe better to avoid the ferry’s. 

@Xander: excuse me for the offtopicness. Anway, I am quite happy and surprised by the scandinavian attention to te GSes the last time. Probably this attention has been there allready for a long time, only with the difference that I notice it.  Surprisedops:

The interrest for the G-models is in Denmark VERY small. But growing. About 5 people is very entusiastic, inkluding me.!

The car had an ok sale in Denmark. Especially the van models because of an cheaper tax with cars sold on yellow plates. The yellow plates means that they are vans, sold for industrial purpose. They were sold without VAT also.! Therefore a big amount of vans went to Denmark and Norway (They have simular rules. There vans have green licenselates.)

But in Denmark we have a very cold weather at winter, and the goverment are spreading salt to keep the roads less slippery. The salt makes the cars corrode faster Crying or Very sad  and therefore is almost ALL the G-models gone in Denmark. Under 20 is driving, and half of them is import from France or Germany.! I have 2, and they are original Danish both.!

Have been driving the GS again this weekend.  Very Happy love8 It got approved last friday (godkänd).
