Ik heb een Chinese correspondentievriend. Deze Chinees is degene die ervoor gezorgd heeft dat wij hier in Nederland modellen van Chinese Citroëns (zoals de C-Triomphe)  konden kopen
Nu heeft hij mijn hulp gevraagd bij het vertalen van een lijst met auto-onderdelen; Ferrari-onderdelen. Hij kan, zoals uit onderstaande blijkt, een aantal termen niet thuisbrengen, en dus niet goed vertalen naar het Chinees. Maar ik weet ook niet alles (trouwens, wat ik wel weet valt ook erg tegen ops: ) En lastig is natuurlijk ook dat deze termen niet in verband zijn geplaatst….

Kunnen jullie mijn vriend Hong helpen bij het vertalen?

Dit is de vraag:

I’ve just found something to do and I am now translating some parts lists of Ferrari cars. I met with some terms that I cannot understand and of which definition I can found no where, no matter on the Internet or in those specialized dictionaries. I wonder whether you happen to be able to recognize some of them and tell me what they are:

thickness (it’s the name of a part),
seeger,
flambloc,
flap (does it mean spoiler?)
capote (I guess the soft top of a convertible,right?)
wheelhouse door(does wheelhouse have a door?)
moulding (does it mean a protection strip?)
anti-head
anti-lifting
glass scraper
tunnel covering console (the word tunnel)
brake door
customer plate
seat outer carter plug (carter)
dome
dashboard drawer shock absorber (does the drawer need a shock absorber?)
heat repair/water repair/stone repair (totally incomprehensible)
nourice
skin-saver
disareator (something in the fuel or oil tank)
RM fork

Oh ja, hij moet het maandag as. af hebben….
