1976 - The CATVAN Based on a Citroen DS21 chassis was built for use as a racing transporter for Team Cat in 1976.Ten years later it was used as race transporter for the CAT solar racer (see next page). The vehicle is currently standing behind the CAT workshop in Busswil. The total weight of the CATVAN was 1,500 kg, about 300 kg lighter than a standard DS-21. The seats are installed in front of the engine (instead of behind it) and the van includes a kitchen, seating area /double bed, storage area for sidecar outfit etc. Top speed of the fully laden CATVAN was approx. 190 km/h (120 mph) - proved by the Motorway Police in Kent/England !!! 32KB jpg
