Hi Guys,
Many thanks for the contact information, will follow it up.
Theres not much to look at with the Safari project - so far there is one standard Safari 74 DS23 white/grey, a pile of reconditioned parts ready for the job and a CX25 ready to be savaged for it’s engine. Will post info and pics on this project as I go.
The rally car was built from the ground up in 1994 for Joe Caudo in Perth (Western Australia) from an Australian assembled (Heidelberg, Victoria, Aus) 1964 ID19. It has a strengthened engine bay, blue printed engine with Connaught twin carb head, all the usual race prep stuff inc roll cage. It placed first (H class) in the 1995 Around Australia Mobil Trial in the hands of Mr Caudo and his team. There was a picture of this car at the car show in Paris earlier this year in the Citroen display behind the ex Caudo rally SM which is now in the factory museum.
A couple of small pics;

Nice pictures though, especially the one in front of Ayers rock. Very good looking D. Wish you all the luck with the CX-engine donor operation and look forward to hear/see from you….....
