One month ago, the ads on French e:bay described a Station Wagon Cx Trd Turbo2, 350 000 Km, a leak of coolant because of a bad heater radiator.
No photo, just 498€.
I bought it, drove across France, discoverd it is one of the last built by Heliez. Abs, rear electric windows, anti fog lights. No air conditioning, no rust.
I pulled the car and put it on my trailor.
Those 2 minutes confirmed me:
- glow plugs,
- clutch
to be changed.
I will also change: front disqs, all pads, distribution, suspensions.
In order to wash the engine, I had to remove all the garbage I am leaving in the ‘Car bathroom’....
Today, I had time left….
The rust was removed. White paint to protect, even if it is a different color.
The transmissions, the battery, the electric connections, radiator an hoses, Lhm connexions.
New oil for the gearbox and engine, radiator filled with specific cleaner.
The cooling system will be cleaned before putting the new heating radiator which is already disconnected.
The new heating radiator will be changed when the cooling system is cleaned.
The cooling system and the fuel line have been purged.
The Cx started at the first trial
This is the first time a Diesel engine starts at the first shot.

C’est alors chouette à lire que même en France, ils donnent tellement attention aux voitures “anciennes” encore…

The discs are nice but used above the limits.

The heater radiator is new, but I ahave no photo at all.
This evening I drove it back home.
The front end needs to be alligned.

How’s the engine after 350 thousand km’s? I have the same engine with 360 thousand km’s. Blue smoke all over
No smoke.
I am driving it and no oil consumption.
No over-heating. The engine is very smooth.

We changed the rear arms bearings and rear spheres
I am using Alden wrenches, expensive but so useful.
